Yvette is a five star author and embroiderer, all of whose books you should own. I do. Having produced the left-handed embroiderer's guide earlier in the year, Yvette has decided not to leave us right handers out. This is a superb dictionary for all embroiderers, so don't miss out. As with all Yvette's books it has superb attention to detail. Beautiful line drawings explain each stitch. This has just become my number one embroidery book. I am right handed but have a copy of the left hand edition which I have previously reviewed here. I have already got a few stitch dictionaries in my library, including the classics, but this is my first choice now as it is so bright and light and well indexed. One of the law's most challenging areas of specialty is certainly housing law. The authors Nic Madge, a circuit judge and founder member of the Housing Law Practitioners' Association has, together with his colleague Claire Sephton, refer to it as `hard law' and, for most practitioners it certainly is, and for a number of reasons explained in the book's excellent introduction.

It's also hard law, explain the authors, `because of the effect that housing cases can have on people', from economic deprivation to personal bitterness to the agony of homelessness and its attendant problems.

Kary Mullis was awarded a Nobel Prize for inventing the PCR technique more than 15 years ago in 1993. Since its "discovery", multiple adaptations and variations of the standard PCR technique have been described, with many of these adaptations and variations currently being used in clinical, diagnostic and academic laboratories across the world. Further, these techniques are being applied at the diagnostic level (e.g. as high throughput testing methodologies to detect minimum residual disease, the presence/absence of specific pathogens etc), as well as to increase our understanding of fundamental disease processes.

Frequently, PCR technicians and specialists limit their understanding of PCR to one particular methodology. However, this approach limits their appreciation of the range of versatile PCR techniques currently available, techniques that may be applicable and indeed more suitable to their own laboratory situation.

This manual aims to provide the reader with a guide to the standard PCR technique and its many available modifications, with particular emphasis on the role of PCR techniques in the diagnostic laboratory (the central theme of this manual). Further, many important technical issues have been addressed, including types of PCR template material, PCR optimization, the analysis of PCR products, quality control and quality assurance, variants and adaptations of the standard PCR protocol, quantitative PCR and in situ PCR. The reader of this manual will be excellently informed about the fundamental principles of PCR and the true potential of PCR within clinical laboratory practice.

This novella is an other installment in the Others of Seattle series by Brandy Rivers. Scotty has lived the past century tortured by his mate bond with the evil Saressa, hating her but unable to contain the lust his body feels at the mere thought of her. When his best friend Toryn finally finds happiness with Isa, Scotty makes a decision. Knowing he will never find a true bond while bonded to Saressa, he decides to stop seeking the meaningless sex that keeps his body alive but kills his soul. He decides to fade away. Toryn and Isa see his decline and refuse to let him go. Being Fae means that sex is a way to recharge their bodies and souls, so it shouldn't be a shock when Isa realizes the only way to help Scotty is to indulge in a long held fantasy. Knowing she can severe the connection to Saressa that has tormented Scotty and free him to find his true bind mate is only part of the solution though. The other is to convince both Toryn and Scotty to agree to accept the help only Isa can give.

Brandy crushed it once again. She gives us more of Toryn and Isa's story, which is always a treat, and expands Scotty's to more than just the friend of a main character. Be prepared because she also give us some scorching, I mean melt the ice in your glass, need to take a cold shower, sex scenes between Toryn, Isa and yes, Scotty. I love how she always weaves in characters from other books in her series making the world well rounded and oh so inviting.

Wow! A extra hot quick read to get us ready for the next full length novel ;) Most of the characters we've met before. And now a bit about the story...

Scotty is a nymph, but he was tricked into a bond over a hundred years ago. His love and hate relationship with his "mate" has him so depressed he is about to give up. Both Isa and Toryn have an idea, but are worried about asking the other, but they have to get creative to save Scotty...

Favorite passage: “This means everything to me.”“No, that’s Isa’s role, as your mate should be.”

Shorts stories are a mixed bag for me, I enjoy them because they give great filler information in the series, but how to express what you enjoyed to others without spoilers? So let do my best to explain why this book is a MUST READ, if you follow Ms. Rivers and her Others series. From the onset of the Toryn and his love I have longed to find out more of the evil yet little know about Saressa. Well this book delivers that history with a BANG, leaving me to question if the former Air King is really the evilest of them all. This book as gives us a glimpse into the strong mate bond between Toryn and Isa. To see what this two would give and risk to help out a friend, well let's just say I have a new level of friendship goals LOL. Now don't misunderstand there is PLENTY of hot and steamy scenes with River's flare for WOW! But I feel that this story is foundational to what is to come in the series, I could be wrong but it my gut! Thank Rivers for another amazing story!
