¿Qué es el Análisis Transaccional (AT)?
Es una nueva teoría y técnica de la Psicología individual y social.
Se llama Análisis por dividir a la conducta en unidades observables.
Transaccional, por destacar lo que ocurre entre las personas.
Actualmente se encuentran 3.410.000 referencias en la web, de las cuales 936.000 están en castellano, señalando su creciente difusión. En 2010 existían solamente 670.000 sitios de referencia en total.

Su éxito se debe, en gran parte, a las siguientes características:
1. Su lenguaje sencillo y cotidiano, si bien con rigor científico.
2. Su filosofía humanística de confianza en el ser humano, coincidente con el concepto actual de Psicología Positiva.
3. Su objetividad (todos sus conceptos son verificables)
4. Es la única escuela de psicología diagramable, lo cual activa el hemisferio derecho del cerebro.
5. Es ameno, motivante para nuestro Niño interior.
6. Es contractual, fijándose metas objetivas entre terapeuta, facilitador o coach y el paciente o cliente.
7. Su modelo es de aprendizaje social, no de enfermedad mental, clasificable como Cognitivo-Conductual.
8. Es combinable con técnicas de otras escuelas, lo cual dio lugar al modelo del Análisis Transaccional Integrado que da su título a este libro.

Creado por Eric Berne en 1958 en los EE.UU, fue introducido a partir de 1973 en Latinoamérica y España por los autores del libro y otros profesionales del Instituto Privado de Psicología Médica (IPPEM) de Buenos Aires.
El autor principal es Presidente de la Asociación iberoamericana de Análisis Transaccional y Ciencias del Comportamiento, ANTAL, fundada en 1983 con representantes en 13 países latinoamericanos y en España.
A partir de 1985, este libro fue el texto principal en castellano, de estudio y consulta para la formación y la aplicación de este modelo.

La ANTAL y el IPPEM, organizaron 12 Congresos nacionales e internacionales, publicaron su revista científica y desde 1995 esta disciplina es enseñada en la Universidad de Flores de Argentina, que auspicia sus actividades, así como en numerosas universidades de Latinoamérica y España.

En España, el Análisis Transaccional (AT) ha logrado un gran desarrollo con numerosos grupos afiliados a la Asociación Española de Análisis Transaccional (AESPAT), que edita su revista de Análisis Transaccional y Psicología Humanista, en la cual el Dr. Roberto Kertész es miembro del Comité Editorial y publica habitualmente trabajos científicos.

Organización de la obra:
Luego de la definición del AT y su reseña histórica, desarrolla los 10 “Instrumentos” del mismo, desde el Esquema de la Personalidad, con los famosos estados del Yo: Padre, Adulto y Niño, el Análisis de las Transacciones, las “Caricias” o estímulos sociales, las Posiciones Existenciales, la Estructuración del Tiempo, las Emociones Auténticas y Sustitutivas, los Juegos Psicológicos, el Argumento y Metas de Vida, el Mini Argumento, la Dinámica de Grupos. (Capítulos 3 a 12)
El Capítulo 13 describe sus aplicaciones y el 14 su integración con otras escuelas, seguido por la bibliografía especializada.

CHARMING SELF HELP HANDS ON

In the late 1940's Mary Burmeister learned JIN SHIN JYUTSU from Master Jiro Murai in Japan before she moved to the states. He was born before 1900 into a family of Japanese physicians/healers but did not study their methods choosing to search for the true meaning of life and enlightenment. Becoming ill he requested his family to transport him to a mountain retreat. On the 7th day on the mountain he was well. He called his process JIN (knowing compassion), SHIN (creator), JYUTSU (is art) and dedicated finding this healing process to ISE JINGU (AMATERASU OMIKAMI shrine at ISE in southern Honshu, Japan).

The method 'revitalizes..our energy circulatory patterns. ...ascends the back and descends the front of the body.' To maintain the circulatory rythmn and prevent disease there are 26 "keys" (energy unlocking sequences) and balancing of the 12 'body energy function flows'. The tip of thumb, one finger, fingers, palm or back of hand are applied (laid on), used. This is hand technique combined with breath. A position is held for 36 consecutive breath. Shorter sequences are also effective.

The energy source (battery) within the body is connected through the hands (jumper cables) and make 'a connection' held gently till the rhythmic pulsation is felt.

This good book needs to be re-issued.

Shortly after the assassination of President John Kennedy, Priscilla McMillan contacted Oswald's widow, Marina, and spent considerable time with her. McMillan had interviewed Lee Oswald when he defected to Russia and had the added advantage of knowledge of Russia and Russians. She used this to persuade Marina to give an account of her life with Oswald. To this day, 2000, nobody has given a better account of Marina's view of their relationship. It is very worthwhile reading.

Psychological overload but still an awesome read.

First of all , I give this book a 4 1/2 out of 5. A little too much psychological speculation as to whom Oswald emulated and why. Could be true but speculation non the less, but this does not take away from the clear and logical explanations for Oswald's movements and probable decisions. This book is like discussing religion - an Atheist will be on the other end of the spectrum as someone that believes in God, so people will either tend to give this book high marks or low marks depending on whether or not they believe that Oswald acted alone or was part of a conspiracy. People are usually passionate about this topic. This book has recently gotten high marks on the internet (and critics have recommended a good second look) because of the upcoming 50th anniversary of Kennedy's assassination. This is the best book ever written about Oswald , the man (all conspiracies thrown out).

After reading this book you will look at Oswald as a drowning soul that needed a bigger and better life than he had, but was unwilling to work for it. He felt entitled and struck a blow for his beloved Marxism. He also felt destined for greatness and an unbelievable opportunity presented itself literally on his door step. In the end he couldn't turn it down. You will come to know Oswald as a man and not a myth. All of his actions are easily explainable in this book. I understand his every little action and why.

17 years after the Kennedy assassination , a half wit, sick individual , standing on a street corner in broad daylight, managed to put a bullet in the chest of a standing president. His name was John Hinkley. Where are the conspiracy theories here ? This kind of proves that it could be done. The fact that Reagan lived is off no consequence. He could have died very easily.

If you read this book first and then "Case Closed" by Gerald Posner , you will never ever believe in a conspiracy theory again. I believed in conspiracy theories for 30 years and have been turned around.

This was a horribly vicious murder of an awesome young president that was to provide Oswald a pedestal to preach his philosophy on communism if he were ever caught. (First choice - get away with it, second choice - preach from prison and make the best of it). No one wants to admit that such a horrible thing could be the results of a single mans actions. Especially someone like Oswald, a high school dropout that slapped his wife around on a daily basis. Oswald would have manipulated the system and probably got a law degree and written several books behind bars had he lived. He had an above average IQ and would have turned to studying and writing if all his needs were met in prison. Jack Ruby put an end to that. That didn't fit into Oswald's plans.

Whatever you believe , this is a must read regardless of which side you are on. People will believe what they want to believe but don't fall into that conundrum. It is an exceptional story of two very young people meeting in Russia (19 and 21 years old) and coming to the United Sates, struggling desperately financially, and stepping into history less than 18 months from arrival.

"Marina and Lee" Gives Detailed Insight Into the Mind of an Assassin

"Marina and Lee", by Priscilla Johnson McMillan, is without a doubt the the best book available on the mind and personality of Lee Harvey Oswald, assassin of President John Kennedy.

McMillian's excellent book sheds considerable light on who Lee Oswald was, how he developed into the man he became, how he thought, how he acted, what drove his actions, how he interacted with his wife and others, his ambitions, and ultimately, his final days before he entered the Texas Schoolbook Depository on November 22, 1963. Although McMillian focuses her attention on both Marina and Lee Oswald, (the book is essentially the recollections of Marina Oswald) the reader's attention is of course focused on learning what Lee Oswald was like as a person, and what forces drove him to act as he did. The reader obtains a very sympathetic viewpoint of Marina, which is natural considering the narrative is from Marina's point-of-view. However, the book strives for day-to-day historical accuracy, and the personalities of both Marina and Lee are presented warts and all. I believe it to be an accurate portrayal of both persons.

McMillian, an American writer living in the Soviet Union, interviewed Lee Oswald in the USSR, when he defected there in 1959. She also extensively interviewed Oswald's wife Marina after the assassination. From these in-depth interviews, she is able to piece together the intensely and tragically flawed personality of Lee Oswald, and she ultimately builds to the conclusion that Oswald killed Kennedy on 11-22-63.

Folks, this is a MUST-READ if you have interest in the Kennedy assassination, for it is the only book of its kind that lends intricate insight into the mind of Lee Oswald, helping the reader to understand the depravity of conscious that Oswald possessed. You will be amazed at the depth of insights McMillian provides the reader in regards to Oswald! After reading this book, one can come to understand that Oswald was most capable of politically-movitated killing, and must be the prime candidate for the assassination of President Kennedy.

The book will grab you in the first chapter and hold your interest to the last chapter. I guarantee that after reading it, you will begin to understand how Oswald was capable of shooting President Kennedy, and how his intense drive to "be someone" led to his ultimate act.

Fast paced and exciting!

I haven't been able to get my hands on the first Alfred Kropp book yet but after having read this book, I definitely will. This book has all the ingredients that makes a book exciting - adventure, danger and even some softer moments like when Alfred thinks of his dead mum or is compassionate towards his treatment of Kenny, the other foster child living at the Tuttles. A good book which I didn't want to put down!

After finding, and then losing, his father, Bernard Samson, a billionaire, then discovering himself as the last direct descendant of the famed knight, Sir Lancelot, retrieving King Arthur's sword, Excalibur, and, finally, surviving his own death in THE EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURES OF ALFRED KROPP, Alfred, naturally, now finds life a tad dull.

Except for the new sport at school called "Kropping" -- a practice of daily harassment and humiliation recently adopted by his classmates -- his life has pretty much returned to normal. Boring. It seems his days of saving the world with OIPEP are over.

Until someone ordered his extraction and he is kidnapped. He awakens aboard a ship, foggy and disoriented. In no time, he's forced out of a plane over the Arabian Desert and is preparing to speed across the dunes on sand-foils at 150 miles per hour.

Their target? The Hyena, a terminated OIPEP agent who has stolen the Seals of Solomon. The Great Seal, a ring, and the Lesser Seal, also known as the Holy Vessel, must be intercepted before the Lesser Seal is broken, releasing evil the world has not seen for 3,000 years. But they are too late. They find the Lesser Seal has been compromised and once again Alfred is thrust into the role of unlikely hero.

I guarantee that once you start this book you will be unable to put it down. Rick Yancey is the master of cliffhanger chapter endings. His descriptions are at once gross and fascinating. Alfred is endearing and funny, and epitomizes the hero in all of us. Who doesn't have the childish dream to save the world and be a hero? Through Alfred Kropp, the reader can live that dream.

Rick Yancey has created an engaging character in Alfred. This reader eagerly awaits many more Alfred Kropp adventures!

Fast, furious, intelligent thriller for everyone.

The best fiction being written right now is for young adults. I've read Harry Potter, but only as I have begun to write young adult fiction myself have I started to enjoy the vast array of terrific modern children's literature that is available to adults. We don't even have to have a special library card to get into the kid's section!

Alfred Kropp came to my attention because Rick's third novel, "The Thirteenth Skull" bears the same name as my third novel. This is a lucky coincidence, because Rick Yancy is a great writer and I'm thrilled to add him to my list of "must buy" authors. (When you start pre-ordering the hardcovers, you know you're hooked.)

Start out with "The extraordinary adventures of Alfred Kropp." Kropp is a young hero, insecure, unsure, and not very brave. When he ends up stealing the great sword Excalibur, the action kicks into high gear and never lets up. The Seal of Solomon is the second book and it's better, faster, and even more intense.

There's a lot of heads flying in these novels, and more than the usual share of gore. So your kids will love them. Leave the books lying around and tell them they can't read these, they have too much action and bloody fight scenes. Then pretend you don't notice when they are missing.

Don't forget to read them first, though. Like Harry Potter, these books are for everyone. I highly recommend them.

A Beauty and the Beast lover's dream

I love this how to draw book! Sence I got this book five days ago I have not been able to stop drawing.If you love Beauty and the Beast you will have fun trying to draw Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs Potts, Chip, Belle, the Beast and other characters.It has great illisrations and easy to read steps. I am 16 and am a beginner at drawing, but this makes it easy for me to make a decent Belle. The one complaint I have about this book is that it doesnt have clear steps for all the drawings. A book for all ages!As long as you love the movie, you will love this book. A Beauty and the Beast lover's dream!

Very useful book for any professional

This book is the best on the market. Chapters are well written and organized. I found the chapter objectives, key terms, activities, and exercises very helpful. I am not a communication major, but purchased and read the book as I deal with students, teachers, and parents daily as an Occupational Therapist. Well worth the money and a wonderful assets to my collection of resources.

This was a good book for the class. It came quickly and in good condition. I would suggest anybody study interpersonal communication as it can really help your personal and work life.
